As part of a larger 5 year European Research Council grant on ‘Understanding Institutional Change: A Gender Perspective’ lead by Georgina Waylen, the post holder will work on a comparative project looking at how new institutions are gendered.  This will focus on three ‘new’ institutions: the ICC in the Hague, the Scottish Parliament and the Constitutional Court in South Africa.  Professors Fiona Mackay (Edinburgh) and Louise Chappell (UNSW) will also be involved.

Other projects that form part of this grant will examine different aspects of institutional change such as the role of informal institutions.  The closing date for applications is Sept 28 2012.
