Fox News poll: Presidential race (presented by Dr. K. Winters using Fox News data)
If the presidential election were held today, how would you vote if the candidates were:
Democrat Barack Obama Men 37% Women 55% (+18% Women)
This poll was conducted May 13-15, 2012 under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) using live telephone interviews. It has national sample of 913 registered voters, and based on the full sample has a ± 3 percentage points margin of sampling error. See link for full report
From the report: ‘Landline and cell phone telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means that phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state. LV = likely voters.’
Republican Mitt Romney Men 46% Women 33% (+13% Men)
Romney over Obama (+9% Men) (-22% women)

The gender gap is alive and well, as women continue to be more likely to back Obama (55 percent to 33 percent), while men are more inclined to support Romney (46 to 37 percent).
